On April 2nd we made a very impromptu trip to see the cherry blossoms in DC(we decided the night before). We had a great time, even though we got rained on between the cherry blossoms and the American history museum...we were prepared with rain coats & umbrella--so it wasn't as bad as it could have been, it was quite the storm :)
We ate our picnic lunch while we listened to this band...and Owen danced like this:
Then we went to see more cherry blossoms...it was gloomy and cloudy and a little chilly...but there was no complaining from the kids :) (thank goodness)
The stormy sky...it was not a nice weather day :)
We headed over to the American History Museum, which the kids had never been to...I think it's a great (and huge) museum...less stuffed animals, more hands on & things that interest the kids...plus it has Julia Child's kitchen :)
Then we headed home with 3 very sleepy kids (and a very tired mom) on the metro...
