Oliver now...
*Walks around furniture, pushing a toy and holding hands. He did take two or three steps on June 6th
*Has the funniest facial expressions, you can definitely tell when he is annoyed or upset...his brow furrows and his lips pucker (someday I'll get a picture of this). His newest is to make a little o with his lips, he does it all the time and it is so cute :)
*Runs like crazy in his johnny jump-up (video here) he actually gets going more than what is shown...he can swing and twirl around...sometimes it worries me a little :) Another favorite is to put a ball in front of him (while he is in the johnny jump-up) and he will run and kick it. He has really good aim & does it every time (we may have a future soccer player)
*Loves eating 'real' food. He's about had it with the squishy baby food and is a pretty adventurous eater {thank goodness...the other night he ate almost half of a Monte Cristo sandwich}. Pretty much if we eat it he eats it...minus peanut butter, honey and other not for baby foods. Thankfully he still allows us to feed him with out too much of a fight (unlike his older brothers and sister)
*Is very vocal. It is a constant stream of ba's, ma's, ba's, hi's, hi dad's, dada's, and huh?'s(which is the funniest...imagine it with lots of expression)
*SPEEDS up the stairs...but thankfully as of yesterday he has figured out how to go back down the right way...not that the baby gates are coming down anytime soon
*Still doesn't sleep through the night :/ but at least he goes down at nap time and bed time without screaming. For the longest time we would check on him (after he had fallen asleep) and he was folded in half...apparently he kept falling asleep sitting up, lately not so much :)
*Has had his 3rd haircut...and will need another soon...seriously {and why can't my only girl's hair grow as fast as her brothers?}
*Has a personality that is starting to show...it is so much fun :)
*loves to give kisses for affection...they are still supper slobbery {and a little gross} but there is nothing better to see him coming at you with his "I'm going to kiss you now look" {he has a look in his eyes and he makes a O with his mouth}...thankfully he usually goes for your cheek, but every once in a while he goes for your nose, which is really gross. It's nice to know that he loves us :)
We are all so in love with him & so happy that he came to our family, he is such a blessing :)
