Flag Ponds Nature Park and Beach

Yesterday we tried out another beach on the Chesapeake, I thought it was nice, not crowded (it is September though...it was a BEAUTIFUL day & they had activities for kids) which is great. The coolest thing is that it has the Calvert Cliffs (you can see them at a distance, the are over the water) but they are know for their fossils, especially shark teeth, which apparently aren't too hard to find, we didn't find any, but we didn't take a lot of time to look, the kids were too interested in throwing driftwood in the water and making their way to the pier--they were able to each take one home (from the kids' activities), which Curtis declined saying "he is afraid of sharks" we had to explain to him that they are fossils. We were only there for about an hour...but it was a lot of fun.
