Will It Never End????

So this month has turned into a very long one...last Monday (the 9th) Hailey came down with fever and missed two days of school. Thursday night, around midnight Curtis's fever rose to 101. and took until 2 a.m. to get it down. Earlier that day I noticed my throat was a little sore. Friday morning I wake up, uh oh, I feel, well, like crap :). I get Hailey ready for school and on the way called Elias to tell him we may need to find another way for him to get home from the airport (yes of all weekends to visit, this was it). I get home and go lay down. Thankfully Charity calls at 10:00 and she can pick up Elias when he flies in at 5:00 (and take Hailey with her, phew). By this time I know my already large tonsils are swelling, swallowing is getting to be difficult. Unfortunately my kids never act "sick" they still want to run around and bounce on me, why can't they just sleep. :) It was a long day. Charity picks up Hailey, says I don't look so good, when she gets back 4 hours later, she says I look sooo much worse. But thankfully my husband is here, I can rest. By morning I can barely talk & decide to go to Ready Care (warily- I live in fear of "it's just a virus"). Good thing I did, strep throat and tonsillitis, ugh. Saturday was a horrible, no good, very bad day :). Hailey woke up and said her back itched (I remember vaguely her saying Friday night that she had mosquito bites-to which I responded there aren't mosquitoes in winter- nice reaction, huh). She was covered in big blotchy hives. Elias takes her to the ready care, she had an allergic reaction to something (to be determined) and they give her a prescription to stop the reaction. Elias had to be to the airport by 4:00 on Sunday, I felt a smidgen better, and Charity bravely (with her hand sanitizer) offered to ride with us and drive back for me. Although the weekend almost seemed to waste air fair, I was soo thankful to have Elias here to help and take care of me. It would have been horrid with out him. And it's not over... Monday there was no school, the kids seemed okay, Curtis had a temperature of 99 for about an hour, It went away with no meds. I sent the kids to school on Tuesday, went to pick them up and Curtis didn't look so good. He told me his throat hurt a little-only when he swallowed a lot :) I decided that was enough and took him to the doctor (the only available appointment was a 7:30 that night, sigh, bed time, but okay. Sure enough, strep throat. And I would not advise taking 3 kids to the doc by yourself-not fun :) After getting his prescription, we finally got home a little before 9 p.m. Curtis thankfully thinks his meds taste good (????) and takes them easily. We get to bed, Owen doesn't fall asleep until almost 11, ugh. Curtis is home today but can go back to school tomorrow. Hopefully, hopefully this is the end.

p.s. sorry about my rant..needed to get it out :)

I'm so sorry that your family is sick. Wish that we lived closer so I could help. Just keep doing what you need to do...take care of yourself and your family. Get better and lots of love.
