Trick-or-Treating

So, this year, unfortunatly, we all have the flu (the cold kind). So we weren't able to go the party at the Hogge's. We were all pretty sad about that. But we did take the kids trick or treating, just up and down one street...

Luckily, it was really nice out side, it was 66 when we started trick or treating, so the kids didn't have to wear coats over their costumes, always a plus.
Everyone thought their costumes were great.

Curtis was super cute, taking his hat off, after every house, waving it around cowboy style and say thank you and happy halloween.
Hailey was asked if she was anything from Pocahontas to a Native American, which she always replied no, I'm and indian. :)
Owen I think was probably the funniest. He ran from house to house soooo excited (he fell at least 10 times- after which jumping up and announcing "I'm okay!". He scamed more than a few houses for another piece of candy ("I have two hands, so I need two candies"). We tried, with no luck, to try and teach him that wasn't nice. He couldn't carry his bag, it was too heavy, before we reached the end of the street to turn around. He left every single house with a super loud "thank you", "Happy Halloween" and a wave. It was super cute.
So here are our spoils. We have tons of candy, and we only went up and down one street. (This bucket is bigger than it looks). We will have candy for a while- if we don't find kids sneaking it at 4:00 in the morning :). But for being sick (with fevers and all) this Halloween turned out to be pretty fun.

Holy sugar high, Batman! That is a ton of candy! That's a cute story about your kids, mine were too shy to say anything. We had to threaten them with going home if they didn't say Trick-or-treat. We didn't get too much candy and it's already all gone. It's better for me that way,I turn into the candy monster if it's in the house.
