We all had a great Memorial Day. We started out with a "picnic" (which means lunchables) at a park & the kids were able to play for a while. Then we got ice cream on the way home, which was very messy, because it was really warm outside. Curtis was covered in chocolate. The kids got to play outside in the backyard for a little while, Elias watched them and I got to take a nap (yeah!). Then we went and flew kites for the first time- the kids LOVED it!! Owen woke up today still talking about it. I think it is the calmest I have ever seen them do an activity, they all just stood there (or sat) and watched their kites. It was a great (low stress) time. Then we came home for hamburgers and hot dogs; we were going to make s'mores on the grill, but we ran out of propane and had to resort to the microwave, which turned out just as good. Needless to say the kids were tired out which made an easy night for mom and dad- they were in bed and asleep fast! It all turned out to be a really fun day.
